The West Virginia Lottery is currently withholding the information regarding the specific location where the winning ticket was purchased, awaiting the winner’s appearance.

Winner hit four numbers and the Powerball

The annual revenue generated from West Virginia Lottery ticket sales exceeds $1 billion, with approximately 50% of this amount dedicated to supporting education and senior services.
In the drawing held on April 12, the lucky numbers were 9-36-41-44-59, with the Powerball number being 4. The fortunate winner successfully matched four of the numbers as well as the Powerball.

Davis touts itself as highest incorporated town in West Virginia

Situated in Tucker County, Davis contributes to the county’s low population count, with just under 7,000 inhabitants, ranking it among the least densely populated counties in West Virginia.
Winning ticket in January sold in Beckley
In January, the Powerball ticket that made the last winner from West Virginia was bought in Beckley, which is located quite a distance away from Davis. Beckley, a town of around 17,000 residents, is positioned in the southern region of the state, near Roanoke, VA.
The West Virginia Lottery never disclosed the identity of the winner, who also successfully matched four numbers along with the Powerball.
The cost of a Powerball ticket is $2, and it increases to $3 when the Powerplay option is included.
The upcoming Powerball drawing will take place on Saturday.
